With these announcements, Mark Zuckerberg managed to propel a number of metaverse cryptocurrencies to new heights in the same way Elon Musk had with memecoins half a year earlier.
Since then, Meta has continued to remind the industry about the imminent arrival of non-fungible tokens to its social media platforms. Recently, company CEO Mark Zuckerberg talked about Instagram’s future at the SXSW Conference, where he “We’re working on bringing NFTs to Instagram in the near term.” On the other hand, he was reluctant to provide the exact details of the upcoming plans.
