Web3 gaming project Wilder World has expanded its metaverse with the launch of a first-person shooter (FPS) mode in Super Early Access. The debut, presented in partnership with Samsung, was announced at Gamescom 2025 and will be accompanied by a $100,000 global tournament.
Tournament Structure and Gamescom Launch
The FPS rollout marks Wilder World’s second game mode, following the introduction of its racing title Wilder Wheels in 2024. Both exist within Wiami, the project’s open-world city built with Unreal Engine 5 and blockchain-based asset ownership.

Competition for the new mode begins August 25 with online qualifiers, continuing until September 9. Playoffs are scheduled for September 10–15, with the finals set for September 24 at a location that has not yet been disclosed. According to Wilder World, the top five players will be flown to the event with expenses covered.
Gamescom attendees are being offered a Samsung-branded playable NFT that can be claimed on-site via NFC towers. The NFT, a POAP badge, is designed for use across the Wilder World platform.

Token Activity and Ecosystem Updates
The launch comes during a period of momentum for the project’s native token, WILD. Recent company announcements include a Lamborghini NFT collection that sold out in minutes, a user-generated content tool called Wiami.fun, and a multi-million-dollar buyback program referred to as Operation Titan.
Wilder World has also released an economic explainer under the title Metropolis and launched CYPHER, a U.S. Treasury-based vehicle aimed at attracting traditional finance into its ecosystem.
Wilder World has appeared in the Top 10 Most Anticipated Games on the Epic Games Store, though the project remains in development. By moving into the FPS genre, the company is seeking to broaden its reach and compete beyond the Web3 niche.
Why This Matters
Wilder World’s FPS debut pushes Web3 deeper into mainstream gaming, offering players new ways to engage inside its metaverse.
